In 2019, two baristas who'd worked in specialty coffee for a combined fourteen years left their jobs in the same week. They found a narrow Victorian railway arch in London Fields, installed a 15kg drum roaster that takes up most of the back room, and opened with six tables and a menu that fit on one card.

We source directly from small farms in Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala and Yemen. We know the farmers by name. We pay above Fairtrade rates because that's the floor, not the ceiling.
